Damon said right to Elena’s face that he doesn’t want her to take the cure.  It was obvious that her taking the cure would not make him happy, as she is supposed to want to do, as she is sired to him.

However, we see her still searching for the cure next episode, still wanting the cure, teaming with with Stefan and Bex to still find the cure, even after Damon said explicitly that he doesn’t want her to take it.

Yes.. sire bond. Sure.
